There.Is.Hope.4.Japan by 1CrazyVegetarian There.Is.Hope.4.Japan by 1CrazyVegetarian
My heart truly goes out to all those affected by the March 11th earthquake and tsunami in Japan. We can't lose sight of the seriousness and urgency of the situation, considering the possible risk of radiation poisoning for many of Japan's citizens. Here is a link to several places you can donate, sponsered by the Japan-America Society's relief fund:

I really hope no one is offended by the use of the character "Kiku Honda" to portray the emotion in this picture. I, by no means, want to make light of this terrible situation, and instead do my best as an artist to get the word out about aid for the victims of this disaster. If this picture or its message comes across as offensive to anyone, I deeply apologize. My intention is to convey the objective of aid for this country through a more human and hopeful sense, not to offend anyone.

Victims of this disaster remain in my thoughs and prayers.
Keep hope alive. Please donate. <3

Yay! ;W; Thanks so much! :tighthug:
The disaster had (and still continues to have) such a devastating affect, I wanted to at least do something (however small and insignificant) to help. :'(

Thank you so much! :D The character is actually from an anime called "Axis Powers Hetalia." It basically personifies countries...it's the weirdest thing ever, actually! XD But, I really wanted to do something with a "human" element, so this kind of came to mind. ^ ^

Uh, I don't really care. ^ ^ I'd be okay with it if my name was posted, but if it's easier for you (with all the crazy legal stuff) to put some random name there, go ahead. I don't want you getting arrested or something! XD

I really love the way the characters at the top were drawn...

And I really hope our president gets it through his head that people are dieing over there. He's to busy bombing Libya.

Thank you so much! I'm relatively happy with them, considering I was doing this whole crazy thing really late last night. 0_o Oh I know! I was so excited when we started to get out of Iraq, and was really hopeful that our country could focus on rebuilding. Getting involved with wars is REALLY not the right direction for the U.S. to be taking. :( Japan needs all the support they can get.

Indeed. HAve you heard what he said when Japan first had this crisis?

Something along the lines of "I will not help them at this time, because their technology is more advanced then ours. I will help when they ask."

The same time that Obama sent planes over to bomb Libya, Japan found radiation in their food, and tapwater all the way to Tokyo.

Wow. That is so disappointing. :( Why would they need to "ask" with tons of people dead, homeless, or concerned for their family's well-being? Being such a developed country, it's scary that we're using our influence to get involved with conflict, as opposed to helping a country we now have very close ties with in a time of need. Yeah, I feel the radiation is the most terrifying part of this situation...This will probably affect so many future generations. Quite sad to think about.

Yeah.. Obama really isn't the best president out there, he's hurt everyone so much.
If I were president, I would drop everything and send everyone I could to help Japan out. Instead of letting them fend for themselves when radiation is their biggest issue.
They were prepared for the earthquake, it'll take a few million to rebuild homes from the tsunami, but no one can just vacuum radiation out of the air...

At least, there's good news. the Japanese have 2 our of 6 nuclear plants under control.

I don't necessarily think he's the worst president, or has "hurt" anyone more than our last president did, but I have been disappointed in how he's handled several situations. I feel that President Bush left us in quite a rut, but Obama launching us into Libya instead of aiding nations we depend on for so many resources, is not helping our situatuion. My biggest complaint is that he should be more proactive in helping our country (as well as others)recover. We should be putting forth more of an effort to send food, water, and other resources to the victims who are faced with the threat of radiation-poisoned resources. I feel our economy could handle that, at the very least. Oh, yes, I heard that on the news! That's a great start, and I'm glad there's hope. :)

I agree. Though there are many things that he has done that's put our economy into a bigger rut... That he promised he'd fix... that he only made worse. klghfdlkg.

I relly hope Japan recovers. They're recovering faster than my Da' thought they would, hahaaa.

Yes. Unfortunately, the ideal leader is quite hard (impossible?) to find. :( As citizens, we just must do all we can to help the crisis ourselves. Oh, yeah?! XD Yup. They are a strong and innovative country. I think with a little help (hopefully from US) they can pull through it.
