Not sure how many people will actually see this one before the decision's made, but I wanted to upload this here anyway, because tomorrow (June 26th, 2013) is a pretty important day in America, I think. (Scanned kind of funny, but I won't get into that type of stuff for now )

The U.S. Supreme court will hopefully make a decision regarding the potential overturn of Proposition 8, the 2008 initiative banning same-sex marriage in the state, and DOMA (the Defense of Marriage Act) which prevents gay and lesbian couples from receiving the same federal benefits as those in "traditional" marriages. The Supreme Court could deem these initiatives unconstitutional.

Obviously, improving the legal rights for LGBT couples would be a huge, huge step in finding a common ground beneath what isn't a matter of religion or politics so much as basic civil rights- So much as what it means to love and what it means to be human.

I also wanted to thank all of my friends and watchers here, mainly because I haven't been on dA in such, such a long time. I've found so much love and support here, not just for my art, but for who I am as a person, what I stand for, what I believe in...wow. You guys are the best. ;w;
